Morphbuilders was created for the purpose of expanding minority interest in general contracting in the greater New York City area. Founded by Justin Rodgers, born and raised in Jamaica, Queens, his vision is to utilize the contacts he’s made while helping the Jamaica community professionally for the past 17 years and personally since he was born. He has compiled a reputable team from the NYC construction industry to bring his vision to reality. Using a combination of the in-house team and their wide network of quality minority and women owned sub subcontractors they deliver your project on budget on schedule.
As Co-Founder and CEO of MorphBuilders, Justin Rodgers provides executive leadership of the firm’s core functions while providing guidance and expertise to clients. Justin is a recognized leader with over 20 years’ experience in the private and not-for-profit sectors. His expertise includes real estate development as well as construction management for both private and publicly funded projects. Justin
has experience in affordable housing, hospitality and commercial markets.
Prior to Co-Founding MorphBuilders, Justin was the Managing Director of Real Estate and Economic Development at Greater Jamaica Development Corporation. He was responsible for promoting growth and development in Downtown Jamaica, Queens; including creating strategies and initiatives to expand and enhance Jamaica’s retail, industrial and economic base. Justin has facilitated more than a billion dollars of development projects in the area including commercial, mixed-income housing and hospitality.
Justin graduated magna cum laude in economics from Florida A & M University. He earned a Master’s Degree in management and business from Adelphi University.
Justin’s professional experience spans the non-profit and corporate sectors, including time at J.P. Morgan Chase. He has received numerous awards including, the Queens Courier Rising 40 Under 40
Stars, The Network Journal Under Forty and City and State’s Queens Borough Influential 50.
As Co-Founder and COO of MorphBuilders, Michael Hyman oversees the execution of client focused business processes. He leads the executive team, ensuring that projects are delivered on-time and on-budget, to every client’s satisfaction. This attention to detail and leadership are the foundation of MorphBuilders’ operational sophistication and growth as a trusted New York City construction management company. Furthermore, as a former operations leader in NYC real estate on the Owner’s side, Michael intimately understands the needs of MorphBuilders’ clients and ensures clear communication between leadership and the field teams executing the project. His ability to translate a project owner’s requirements into reality is a defining characteristic of MorphBuilders.
Michael’s position as Founder and COO caps nearly two decades of experience in operational management in multi-family real estate. Prior to MorphBuilders, Michael was the COO at EmpireCore, where he oversaw high level strategy and day to day operations. At EmpireCore he led the growth of a two person operation to over 100 employees and 85MM in annual revenue before he left to spearhead MorphBuilders. While there Michael worked closely with prominent clients including Blackstone, Rockpoint, Dermot, Pinnacle, Greystar and Brooksville and managed capital projects at notable properties including Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town, Kips Bay Court, 63-67 Wall Street & the Caiola portfolio. Before that, he spent seven years at The Dermot Company, where he was the primary liaison between the development, construction and operations teams on mixed-use projects totaling over $300MM.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Lehigh University. Due to his outstanding leadership skills in both business and community, the Queens Courier named him on their list of Rising 40 Under 40 Stars.
